Let's Go Shopping

I like shopping, what girl doesn't? I usually have something in particular that I'm looking for when I shop though to keep me from buying everything I see. I recently went through and cleaned out my closet so I have a pretty good idea what things I am needing to round out my wardrobe. I'm wanting a couple pairs of shorts, a few new shirts, and a dress or two. After browsing my favorite stores, I've got a pretty good idea of what I want. 

I may try to find something similar at TJ Maxx or wait for a good sale for something I want to buy. Either way, I now know exactly what I'm looking to wear this summer!

I entertain a lot! We are always hosting people, having cookouts, potlucks, get-togethers, and everything in between. I'm constantly on the lookout for yummy desserts that I can whip together without spending the entire afternoon in the kitchen but will also be crowd pleasers at the same time.  With Memorial Day coming up fast I wanted to share some desserts that are festive and perfect for celebrating. Organizing My Daughter's Clothes

Let's talk about how to organize kids clothes today. Little people have so many small pieces of clothing - shorts, skirts, socks, shirts, sweaters, dresses, underwear, jackets, swimsuits, and on it goes. If you aren't careful, you will have a hot mess on your hands and clothes everywhere! Here is how I am organizing my daughters clothes and how I control all the things.

Closet Cleaning

I love to clean out closets, cabinets, and drawers and then, love to reorganize everything that's left. Yep, call me crazy but it's my idea of a good time. Over the past couple of months, I've put several items in the donate pile - old shoes, never worn shirts, baby clothes, a bag I never liked. It was never big enough to justify making a trip - just a small thing or two here and there. But after I pulled everything together, suddenly my "just one or two things" pile got a whole lot bigger and filled up an entire trash bag.

I'm always on the lookout for cute and affordable artwork to put in my house. Recently, I found some pretty printables that are perfect for the springtime. The best part is that they are free, just print one off and pop it into a frame. A quick and easy update for your house. One of these prints in a pretty frame would also make a nice, last minuet gift.

No Spend May Challenge

So we are only 5 days into May and we've had several unplanned expenses that have come out of the checking account - locked myself out of my house while the husband was out of town, cavity filling for the husband, eye appt for me, new contacts, Mothers Day, and so on. We are also working on a few financial goals as well. This adds up to be one thing - let's not spend any unnecessary money this month, well the 25 remaining days that is!
