Baskets! Baskets are the key to having a nice, luxurious bathroom. Why? Because they can hide all the stuff. You can put virtually anything in a few baskets and then have the choice to leave them out or put them in a closet, drawer, or cabinet. Baskets also look nice sitting out in the open, especially if they have a lid to hid the contents.

To get the same spa-like experience at home, here is what you need to do - get some new, fluffy, white towels, roll them up and place them in a pretty basket. Use some baskets to store your everyday bathroom toiletries in. You can also get some great smelling candles and fancy soap to place around the tub. Lastly, don't forget to buy a new bathmat. With these different elements, you'll have recreated that spa like feeling in your bathroom at home.
Finding Stylish Bathroom Storage
How do you go about finding nice looking storage containers for your bathroom? I think that bathroom storage can be hard because of all the many unsightly toiletries bottles and containers. But it doesn't have to be. You just need to think outside the box when it comes to bathroom storage. Just because it isn't sold in the bathroom aisle at the store, does not mean that you cannot use it in your bathroom.I actually prefer to look in the basket and bin aisle because of all the different textures and neutral colors. The bathroom storage aisle is usually full of bright, plastic containers that is fine for a kids bathroom where things need to get wiped down and cleaned constantly, but if you want your bathroom to feel beautiful and luxurious than I would stay far away from those and get several pretty baskets to hold all of your things.
Now that you've got the baskets, what should you actually put in them? Anything really! Hair supplies (hair brush, hair dryer, straightener, curing iron), toilet paper, towels and washcloths, personal toiletries, dirty clothes. If you have some unsightly plumbing under the sink that you need to hide, than use a big basket and put it in front of the mess! The large basket can also serve as your dirty clothes hamper or extra towel storage. If you like to have some reading materials in the bathroom, than a basket will also help contain those.
How to Store Towels in the Bathroom
Here are a couple of different ideas on how to store towels in your bathroom. Roll washcloths up and place them in a basket. You can also place towels in a shallow basket on the shelf in the linen closet or bathroom cabinet. You can also neatly fold them and place them in a stack in a shelf in the linen closet of you want to keep things simple. But as you already know, I prefer to contain them in a pretty basket or two.Creative Bathroom Storage in My Home
In my bathroom, I have a large basket in the closet to hold all of my dirty clothes. It's really easy to toss everything in there at the end of the day and when it gets full, I take the basket to the laundry room to wash and dry everything. I have a basket full of extra toilet paper in our guest bathroom. I also use medium sized baskets to corral all of my hair tools in - hair dryer, brushes, curing iron, and straightener. I use baskets for all the little things - nail polish, lotion bottles, and oral care. I also place towels in a basket to leave out in the open for everyday use. See, you can just baskets for just about every storage solution you need!Finding Affordable Baskets
You can find affordable baskets really anywhere - Walmart, Target, Hobby Lobby, TJ Maxx, and of course - Amazon! Here are a few baskets that I found online that are pretty and affordable.I hope I've convinced you to stop using the bright, plastic containers in your bathroom and to instead use pretty baskets! If you want to have a relaxing, calm, soothing, and luxurious bathroom than make sure to keep the plastics out and bring the baskets in!
