Christmas Favorites At Target

Since it is officially past Thanksgiving, it is now time to start the Christmas decorating and turn on the Christmas music! I am about 95% done with my decorating and only have a couple of things left to do before calling it done for the Christmas season! Have you started yours yet?

(Like with my fall Target decorating picks) I was just in there last week and y'all, they have so many cute holiday decor items! I was oohing and awing my whole way through the store. I ended up with this trio of bottlebrush trees, a paper Joy wreath, and a couple of other cute things from the dollar one spot.

You might be thinking, that's great but I'm not a "pink all over the house" kinda person. So how does one bring in this pretty color without having pink all over the house?

A common question that comes up a lot in decorating is with bathrooms - people are always asking how can I add storage to my bathroom? I love springtime and I love florals. So it makes perfect sense for me to blend the two together. I've compiled a list of my favorite floral fabrics that are fresh, young, and new. That's the key with picking florals since florals can easily scream "old lady" if you aren't careful. But since none of these do that, you are safe in picking one of these.

How to Create Pretty Statement Art Over the Sofa {from a Botanical Book}

Do you remember when I made this gallery wall above the sofa in the living room? That gallery wall was only intended to be a short-term solution. It was a placeholder and something to put up on the wall until I had the time and money to focus on decorating the living room. Well, the time finally came to replace the gallery wall with something much bigger and much better. This time, I knew exactly what I was looking for. I wanted artwork that looked more streamlined and more substantial, not mis-matched and cluttered looking. It needed to be tall to add balance to that side of the room. It also needed to be big while at the same time budget friendly. That's quite a tall order!

Coastal Living Room Look for Less

 

One thing I really like doing is looking at a room and seeing if I could get that designer look for less. This is one of my favorite living rooms. I love everything about it! It's so light, bright, and airy. And that large ottoman! Swoon!!! I did a copy-cat design board and found sources for much less. Now I'm sure that you could find things even cheaper if you looked at craigslist, the thrift store, yard sales, and/or shopped your house but these are all the pretty things I found online.
