Coastal Bedroom Design Plan

It's time for another coastal bedroom design! This time I've got loads of creams and whites with pops of blue.

Master Bedroom Room Design

I've put together a blue and grey master bedroom with just a touch of blush. It is defiantly a favorite design of mine! Let's get started designing your bedroom.

Whether you are hosting a large group of friends or just having a quiet meal with your family, don't forget to set your table! I have rounded up all the things that you will need to celebrate the 4th of July in style!

By now, I am sure that you all have heard that Pantone's 2017 color of the year is Greenery. I really like this new color! It is soothing, has a sense of calmness, fresh, young, and energetic all at the same time. It reminds me of Spring when everything is new, young, and growing.

Decorating The Mantel for Christmas

I love to decorate my fireplace and mantel for Christmas. There is something about having a pretty focal point in your living room that says "complete". My Christmas decorating is never finished without hanging up the stockings and doing something, even just a simple something, to the mantel.

5 Under $50 - Blush Pink

Rose Quartz aka Blush pink is one of the two Pantone colors of the year for 2016. I'm sure you've seen this light pastel color everywhere from clothes to handbags to pillows to notebooks and everything else in between! You might be thinking, that's great but I'm not a "pink all over the house" kinda person. So how does one bring in this pretty color without having pink all over the house?

Kate Spade Inspired Office

Gold & Pink (Kate Spade Inspired) Office Design Plan. Perfect for a glam and girly office! @ emmamariedesigns.blogspot.com

I am loving the gold and pink trend right now! I've always been a big fan of pink (I have 2 girls, what can I say?!) and gold compliments it so well. I've put together a gold and pink office plan fit for a princess! But there is just enough black here and there to keep things from looking too frou-frou. Are you ready to see the glam and girly, Kate Spade inspired office? I am!

Coastal Living Room Look for Less

 coastal living room design

One thing I really like doing is looking at a room and seeing if I could get that designer look for less. This is one of my favorite living rooms. I love everything about it! It's so light, bright, and airy. And that large ottoman! Swoon!!! I did a copy-cat design board and found sources for much less. Now I'm sure that you could find things even cheaper if you looked at craigslist, the thrift store, yard sales, and/or shopped your house but these are all the pretty things I found online.

Dining Room Design Board

Bright and colorful Dining Room Design Board

Last spring, the dining room got updated with new paint and flooring. I hung some pretty curtains and started a plate wall and then stopped. Now it just needs some color added and one or two more things to make it go from so-so to drop dead gorgeous! The inspiration for the entire room came from this floral fabric. With it, I'll make a couple of pillows for the corner chairs and put this gorgeous pink rug on the floor- love, love, love! I just love that pink rug! I think it'll be a showstopper for sure and really be the thing that pulls everything together.

Kitchen Bar Stools

Remember last week when I showed you the new kitchen bar stools? I thought it would be a nice idea to also share some more bar stools that I had looked at. Its a mix of industrial and upholstered. When I was searching for new stools, I really liked this bar stool and was ready to buy 3. But they were on serious backorder (Looks like they are in stock and on sale right now!). In the meantime I got to thinking about the plans for the kitchen down the road.  I already had the dark wooden table and we're planning on staining the kitchen cabinets a dark brown so I started thinking that maybe dark bar stools wasn't the way to go after all. In the end we got 3 upholstered ones and I couldn't be happier!

Design Plan for Living Room

living room design board

I've been working on some plans for the living room and it has been quite the undertaking! I was wanting to add in a floral design since I already have a geometric pattern in the rug but had such a time finding something that coordinated together. Mostly because I could never find any curtains (or fabric for curtains) that I just loved. I wanted something that wasn't too trendy or old-ladyish, but at the same time traditional and timeless. Not to mention something that I would be second guessing myself on or wanting to change in 3 months. That's a lot of requirements for some curtains! I was considering moving the rug to a different room and just starting over, but something made me keep looking. And I'm so glad that I did, because today as I was pursing around the internet, I came across The fabric. It's going to look perfect and goes so well with the direction I'm wanting to go in.

Bathroom Design Plan

As of yet, nothing has been painted in the new house. Now that we've been here 2.5 months, I'm just itching to paint something! They say that it really starts to feel like your house vs. another persons house after you paint. This is a theory that I want to prove this coming week and no better way to start than my daughter's bathroom. This is the design plan that I'll be working off of to makeover this bathroom.

I put together a bathroom mood board that is bright, cheerful, and happy. I focused on accessories because that's the fun part in any decorating project, right?!

Bight and Happy Room Design Board

Last night I ran into Joann Fabrics and saw this fabric. I feel in love with it at first sight! Since I couldn't stop thinking about it, I came up with this simple mood board for any room adding in color and accessories.
