I love easy crafts, don't you? Today I've got a very, easy, creative project for you. One that doesn't take but just a few minuets to do - Making a Topiary!
Topiaries are pretty to look at, fairly inexpensive to put together, and make a statement in the room.
As promised on Monday, here is the how-to on making a topiary. This was my 1st ever attempt at making one and I found that it was pretty easy and straight forward to do. Hopefully you'll think so to! I also put all the step by step instructions on a pdf that you can print off and use.

Supplies Needed
- Container
- Sheet Moss
- Glue Gun & Glue Sticks - A good glue gun is fairly inexpensive and will last you forever.
- Stick - I picked one up from my yard. Be sure to get a study one and remove all the leaves and twigs on it. It needs to be about 12 inches or so.
- Spanish Moss
- Florist Foam
- Instructions - Download them here.
Instructions
First you want to cut the florist foam to fit the inside of your container, than place it securely into the container. Next, push the foam ball onto the stick than into the florist foam.
Than you want to start gluing the moss onto the ball. I found that it was helpful to take the stick out of the floral foam while I hot glued the moss onto the ball. Place larger sections of the moss down, gluing as you go. Fill in the small gaps here and there with small pieces of moss. After the ball is completely covered with moss, re-attach it to the floral foam. place spanish moss around the bottom of the container to finish it off and you are done!
That was super easy to make and only took me about 15 minuets. I hope that you will make one and if you do, let me know how it goes! You can post a picture on the Facebook page. Don't forget to download the pdf with all the instructions on it!
