15 Days to an Organized Christmas

15 days to an organized Christmas
Christmas has got to be my favorite holiday of the year. I love everything about it - the lights, the colors, the holiday spirit, the shopping, wrapping, eating, celebrating, everything! You know what I don't like? Waiting until the last minuet to finish shopping and wrapping my gifts. So many times we can have good intentions about planning ahead for Christmas and getting all of the gifts bought and wrapped before December 1st rolls around. But, it never happens for some reason. Something gets forgotten and we end up shopping until closing on December 24th. Or, we stay one step ahead with all the holiday to-do's, praying that we can keep it all together until Christmas morning. We are completely stressed out and overwhelmed with everything and wrap our gifts until 3 am Christmas morning only to be woken up by excited children at 5 am wanting to see what Santa brought. Does this sound familiar?

This year, it doesn't have to be that way. Not one bit! Do you know why? Because we are planning ahead and starting now to get ready for Christmas. This starts with making a step by step plan with a small task to do each day over the next 15 days. How would you feel if you had everything you needed planned and written out all in the same location before Thanksgiving? I would feel pretty awesome and way ahead of the game! If you follow along with this Christmas series and do the daily tasks, you will be ready for the upcoming holidays!

make a holiday plan

I usually keep a notebook with me all the time that I write down everything in it - everything! To-do lists, notes, ideas, projects, everything. But it can be hard to locate something that I wrote down a few weeks ago when I go looking for it.  Several years ago, I had all of my Christmas lists all together in a notebook and it was soooo easy to find anything Christmas related. Need gift ideas? They were right there. How about to check the budget? Right on page 1. It was such a wonderful feeling to have everything that I needed right at my fingertips and all in one place. I haven't had a Christmas planner since that year, but I remember how awesome it was. This year, I decided to create my very own Christmas planner
