15 Days to an Organized Christmas

Christmas has got to be my favorite holiday of the year. I love everything about it - the lights, the colors, the holiday spirit, the shopping, wrapping, eating, celebrating, everything! You know what I don't like? Waiting until the last minuet to finish shopping and wrapping my gifts. So many times we can have good intentions about planning ahead for Christmas and getting all of the gifts bought and wrapped before December 1st rolls around. But, it never happens for some reason. Something gets forgotten and we end up shopping until closing on December 24th. Or, we stay one step ahead with all the holiday to-do's, praying that we can keep it all together until Christmas morning. We are completely stressed out and overwhelmed with everything and wrap our gifts until 3 am Christmas morning only to be woken up by excited children at 5 am wanting to see what Santa brought. Does this sound familiar?

This year, it doesn't have to be that way. Not one bit! Do you know why? Because we are planning ahead and starting now to get ready for Christmas. This starts with making a step by step plan with a small task to do each day over the next 15 days. How would you feel if you had everything you needed planned and written out all in the same location before Thanksgiving? I would feel pretty awesome and way ahead of the game! If you follow along with this Christmas series and do the daily tasks, you will be ready for the upcoming holidays!

I usually keep a notebook with me all the time that I write down everything in it - everything! To-do lists, notes, ideas, projects, everything. But it can be hard to locate something that I wrote down a few weeks ago when I go looking for it.  Several years ago, I had all of my Christmas lists all together in a notebook and it was soooo easy to find anything Christmas related. Need gift ideas? They were right there. How about to check the budget? Right on page 1. It was such a wonderful feeling to have everything that I needed right at my fingertips and all in one place. I haven't had a Christmas planner since that year, but I remember how awesome it was. This year, I decided to create my very own Christmas planner!

Here it is! Isn't it pretty? I have over 20 pages of planner goodness to have all things Christmas related organized!

First, print off the Christmas planner. It's 100% free for my email subscribers! Next, put it in a binder with pretty file dividers, a zippered pouch in the front for pens and a calculator, a large zippered pouch for receipts, and extra paper in the back. Be sure to print off extra pages of the planner that you are going to need. Things that would be helpful to have are in the front part of the binder are flags, pens, pencils, and a basic calculator.

Word of warning, there is a lot of information in the planner so it'll be easy for you to get overwhelmed if you try to fill out every single page today. Start slowly by getting the planner ready to fill out bit by bit over the next 15 days. And don't worry! We are going to cover each thing to get you ready for the holidays one day at a time!

Remember, make sure to download the Christmas planner here, gather everything you will need, and to put the planner together today because tomorrow we start filling out the different pages!
