Today I'm showing you the dining room and den of the 1st house. Here's what it looked like at the home inspection. Lovely with all it's cream with pink undertones colored walls, brown trim, and wall to wall cream carpet.

It's been one of those weeks, you know, the one where you're irritated at little things that go wrong, people that say the wrong thing, mad for no reason, things that you can't fix or even figure out. Yep, one of those weeks. Then I turn on my computer and see my screensaver. 

Such a good reminder to have faithfulness, gentleness, kindness, goodness, peace, love, patience, and joy present in my life - through my words and actions - even when I least feel like it. It's all a choice. I can choose to be happy or irritable. I can choose to show joy when I least feel like it or choose to be miserable and make everyone around me feel the same way. So today I choose joy, kindness, peace, and love. So, what are you making happen today?

Living Room and Kitchen Tour

Empty. That's how I felt a couple of weeks ago when I would go over to the house to clean and water plants. Empty and hollow. It was our first house, the one where we brought our first baby home, where we learned how to paint, how to tile, how to replace a light fixture, how to decorate, show hospitality, and how to keep a plant alive. There were so many good memories made within these walls! I'll miss this little house and it will always hold a sweet spot in my heart. But at the same time, I'm so excited to be moving on to the new house! It'll able us to do so much more. I guess it's a bittersweet feeling. So before I get too carried away with my feelings, I better continue on with the house tour. Here's some before pictures taken during the home inspection.

I thought that I would do a before and after picture tour of the first house before moving on to the new house. You know, because we've been doing renovations on it since 2009 and that was before I started blogging! Moving, Moving, Moving

So I've got some very exciting news to share today. A couple of weeks ago, we moved! And no, I don't mean from blogger to wordpress, I mean my actual street address! I have literally felt like a crazy person the past few months with looking at houses, buying a house, deciding what to do with our other house, packing, and moving. It has been quite the ride, that's for sure. So why? Why buy and move?
