15 days to an organized Christmas

Welcome back to day 6 of 15 Days to an Organized Christmas! We are taking the next 15 days to get ourselves ready for Christmas by doing a smaller task or two each day for 15 days. So far you have an awesome Christmas Planner that has everything all compiled together in one place, you know exactly what activities are taking place because you've filled out the entire month of December. You have a master to-do list that you've written out. You know exactly what your Christmas budget is and how much you are spending on each person. You have brainstormed gift ideas for those on your gift listYou also have started compiling your address and getting your Christmas cards ready way before December gets here! Good for you! Way to go! You are well on your way to having an organized and stress-free Christmas! If you are just now joining us you can get caught up right here. Today is all about Christmas traditions and activities that you will do during the entire Christmas season.

Christmas brings a lot of fun activities and traditions with it. When I was growing up, a fun family tradition was on December 1st, our family would eat pizza and go pick out our Christmas tree. Oh how everyone loved that tradition! It was much looked forward too for all of us. Now with my own family, we have several things that we like to do each year. We do a new family Christmas ornament, we do an advent calendar, we set up the tree, decorate the house, and so on.

make a plan

What Christmas traditions do you do? Do you decorate the Christmas tree on a certain day? Is there a special breakfast that you make each year? Are you doing an advent calendar? Do you like to go ice skating? Watch Christmas movies and eat popcorn? Are you doing Elf on the Shelf? If you want any ideas on what traditions or activities than I would start my search on Pinterest. There are tons of ideas on things to do during the holidays! Also, ask your children or significant other if there is something special that they would like to do during the holidays.

Remember, you do not have to do all the different Christmas traditions and activities out there. If you try to do everything, you will end up rushing from one thing to the next and wake up December 26 asking where did my Christmas go? Pick 5-15 things that you (and your family) want to do. Then leave the rest for another time.

Today's Assignment

Remember that without a plan, you are less likely to get everything done that you want to get done. If you fail to plan than you've planned to fail. Today I want you to fill out the Christmas Traditions and Christmas Activities pages of the Christmas planner and then select when you are going to do them on your December calendar. Pick no more than 15 different traditions and activities to do for the Christmas season.

What are your favorite Christmas traditions and activities to do each year? Are you trying something new this year? Have you printed off the Christmas planner yet? Has the planner and this 15 day series been helpful to you? Let me know in the comments below!
